In 2025, I will be riding my sixth Pan-Mass Challenge in memory of my mom–Jen Polk–who passed away from in 2019 after a 4-year battle with metastatic breast cancer. I also am riding in memory of my wife Casey's great aunt Marilyn who passed away from breast cancer in 2023 and grandmother Dorothy who passed away from kidney cancer in 2024. All funds raised will go to the Dana-Farber Mobile Mammography Van, which provides breast cancer screenings and breast health education to medically underserved women in low-income Boston communities, including Roxbury, Dorchester, and Mattapan. Through our ride, we will show our solidarity against something as scary as cancer. And through this tangible step towards novel breast cancer research, we will show the world how much the health of survivors and patients mean to us.
