Back in the saddle again...The training has begun for my 8th PMC and it's going to be a great one.
Last year was a pretty cool ride, with the Pan Mass Challenge donating over $72MILLION to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, and bringing the life time donations from the PMC to over a BILLION dollars. Also, last year, due to my extremely generous supporters, I joined the Heavy Hitters category and raised over $10,000. This year, I will be crossing the $50,000 mark, and every penny of it will be spent to stop cancer from hurting those we all love.
Cancer first entered my life when I was 9 and found out my mother had been diagnosed with ovarian cancer. For years I felt as if there was nothing I could really do to make a meanigful difference. That all changed 7 years ago, when I went for my first Sturbridge to Provincetown ride. Being part of a ride that raised $58 MILLION (just in 2018) for Dana Farber, felt like I was finally punching back. That feeling, while amazing, only left me with a greater desire to do what I can to help in the fight against cancer. Last year, while we tried a new route (Wellesley to Provincetown) the PMC raised $72,000,000.
100% of the your donation goes to Dana Farber Cancer Institute!!
This year, I ride in memory of those we have lost including Donna my mom, Dottie, Aunt Kathy, Chaim Schechter, Steph, and Kathleen and so many others, as well as to honor all of those who fought and won their battle or who are still fighting including JT, JOD, DR, AW, KS.
