Why I Ride ...
Dear friends and family,
Thank you all for your continuous love and support of the PanMass Challenge. This will be my 18th ride with the Fidelity Friends and Family team. Beth and I are gearing up for the 162 mile two-day route from Wellesley to Provincetown on the weekend of August 3rd and 4th.
I am dedicating this year’s ride to the health of my two wonderful and extremely brave friends Julia Craig and Colleen Hankins.
We're excited to have the fearless Willa Mooney as our PMC Pedal Partner again! Willa is an 11-year-old artist, athlete, big sister and ray of sunshine in her family's life. She also has an optic pathway pediatric brain tumor. Willa has been through a lot in her early years including toxic chemotherapy treatments and we draw inspiration from how Willa has handled her challenges with grace and strength. She is an incredible young lady, and her school and friends appreciate her joy of life and infectious smile. Willa refuses to be held back by her visual impairment and is active in many sports including lacrosse and basketball. Willa is particularly excited as she heads into summer since her Make-A-Wish wish of having a family swimming pool is about to become a reality. We're looking forward to riding this August in the PMC to help Willa and the many kids like her have better treatment options and a brighter future.
Willa's words of wisdom- When things get hard...don't slow down!- inspire us to keep pedaling.
Together we will get closer by the mile to a world without cancer. This is what a bike is meant to do!
