Cancer has hit us close to home again. In January a family member was traveling internationally and her stomach did not feel right. By the time she returned a week later her abdoman was filling with fluid, which turned out to be advanced ovarian cancer. It was surreal! She is young, healthy, well-educated, and attentive to her health. Thank goodness for Dana-Farber!
I BELIEVE Dana-Farber WILL develop more durable cancer therapies! By day, I am privlidged to work for Dana-Farber's Division of Philanthropy. I specialize in Women's Cancers, which affords me to opportunity to work closely with the world's leading experts in breast and gynecologic oncology. It is humbling to have a front row seat and witness progress and breakthroughs that are helping many more women survive and thrive !
The teams of physician-researchers at Dana-Farber are brilliant, passionate, collaborative and intensely focused on providing comprehensive and compassionate care.
Philanthropy is the accelerant of progress. 2020 has been filled with challenges we never could have imagined, but cancer isn't quitting. Now more that ever, our support is needed. I invite you to join me in helping to PICK UP THE PACE. I ride in honor of my dear family member, my friend Chris (who received the same diagnosid in 2018), and many others in my life who have faced a cancer diagnosis.
Thank you for your kindness and support!
With much love,
Suzanne
