Why I Ride ...
This is my ninth year riding in the Pan Mass Challenge. This year will be a virtual ride because of the COVID- 19 Pandemic. I am riding in memory of my family members who have died from cancer and also for my friends who have been diagnosed with cancer and are winning their battles!!! Working in the healthcare field as a nurse practitioner, I have many patients who are currently being treated for cancer. We need to continue to find treatments and alternative therapies to stop cancer altogether!
The first year I decided to ride, while training for the Pan Mass I did have a biking accident. I sustained multiple shoulder fractures and a collapsed lung, but after healing, I was able to get on my bike and ride in the PMC because it is such an important cause. It was the best feeling in the world!! This year I will be doing it again. My commitment for this ride is $5000. Please consider supporting my effort and cancer research with a contribution.
