First, I want to extend my sincerest thanks for your generous past support in my PMC rides. This will be my fourth summer participating in the Pan Mass Challenge and it will look a bit different once again because I will have a little guy cheering me! This year, I am committing to ride 84 miles, as always, in honor of my mom who still fights every day, in memory of my mother-in-law who is missed more than I could begin to explain, and for countless other people in my life (the names I proudly wear as I ride) who are fighting this terrible disease. Sadly, since my last ride, we lost our friend, Kati, and I'm dedicating this ride specifically to her.
Even with the COVID-19 pandemic wreaking havok all over the world, my commitment to fighting cancer won’t take a break, because cancer doesn’t take one. Every year in the United States, 650,000 people die from cancer, and the COVID-19 pandemic creates even greater challenges for cancer patients with compromised immune systems, as well as for the heroes who treat them and search for cures. Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is counting on PMC riders to deliver the vital funds that allow them to serve the cancer community, regardless of the environment, and 100% of every dollar we raise supports their world-class research and care.
Thank you for your donation and wishing you and your families the very best of health, always.
Sarah
