Lucy & Steve are going big (on a geriatric adjusted basis) or going home. Harry - 200 miles in 2 days - will just be going....and going. Yes, we are embarking on our first Pan Mass Challenge bike ride across Massachusetts to raise money for cancer research.

The PMC raises more money for charity than any other single event in the U.S., $972 million since 1980 and $72 million in 2023 alone. This success is the result of a lot of people riding for, and caring about, finding a cure for cancer.

We are riding in the memory of Mike Peterson, Robbin Mele Gaudieri, Michael Butt, Sally Dungan and Bill Perley, as well as to honor Mama G, Frank, Chris, Ryan, Bob, Jon, Mitch, Donald and Sandra. All of us have lists like this - too long - of those with lives taken or drastically altered by cancer and related diseases We are riding so our kids' lists will be shorter than ours (and Lucy wanted me to add - eventual grandkids' lists shorter still).

Please know that this is an incredibly efficient way of donating to help beat cancer with 100 percent of your donation going to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Lucy has seen first hand the efficacy of D-F through her work on the Stamford Health board, while I've seen the power of D-F and the Jimmy Fund via Tufts and 'Gansett.

We've made a personal commitment to ride PMC 2024 and raise serious $. Please give until it hurts. Our largest donor gets 10 cases of Narragansett beer with a bespoke label of your choosing.
