Why I Ride ...
Hi friends and family!
On August 3-4, the Pan-Mass Challenge celebrates its 45th ride, and hopes to surpass $1 billion in cumulative fundraising for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Joanna and I will join over 6,000 cyclists to bike to Provincetown. We will split up the 162 mile journey from Wellesley, each of us biking one day of the ride. Jo is biking the PMC for her 8th time and it's my 22nd time.
As part of Team Lizard, the funds we raise are primarily directed towards integrative medicine initiatives. The focus is not just on treating the disease, but on helping mind and spirit in the healing process.
As always, I participate in the PMC in memory of my mom - Connie Sanders, my dad - Bob Sanders, Steve’s dad - Bob Fier, my Aunt Joyce, Brandon Thain, & David Ross. I also remember a dear college friend, Bambi Bachman Wulf, and of course, the Team Lizard team captain, founder & friend, Dave Mittelman.
