Why I Ride ...
This will be my 21st year riding in the Pan Mass Challenge. You all should be proud to donate to this cause which helps all of us and gives hope to many who need the services of the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
I originally started riding in honor of my dad who passed away from cancer 37 years ago at the age of 59. I was also inspired to ride after a childhood friend died at the age of 43 leaving a wife and 3 children.There are many others who I know that have survived cancer and I ride in tribute to them and in honor of others who did not survive.
I will be riding along with over 6,000 riders the first weekend in August from Wellsley to Provincetown.
Last year with your help the PMC raised $75 million and this brings the total raised to more than $1 Billion dollars since 1980. I have made a committment to raise $10,000 and hope that you will also commit to donate to this important cause. 100% of every dollar that is donated goes directly to Dana Farber.
