Hello Friends,
I hope this message finds you well! In just a couple of weeks, I'll be participating in my 7th Pan-Mass Challenge, a cause very close to my heart. Over the course of two days, I'll be riding 162 miles to raise funds for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. They're pioneers in cancer treatment, making a significant impact worldwide.
I first joined the PMC back in 2007 with Team Daisy, supporting my friend Pete's daughter, Daisy Locke, who bravely battled brain cancer from a very young age. Sadly, cancer has touched my life personally as well, with the loss of my father to this disease.
Unfortunately, this year has been marked extremely sadly by the passing of both Pete and Daisy. Pete fought pancreatic cancer for nearly two years, passed away in January. His courage through his fight and the care he received at Dana-Farber inspired me to return to the PMC after a few years away. Daisy followed Pete just this month, after many years of up and down health challenges, but was the sweetest person through it all. Both of their lives were extended and filled with quality and joy as a result of the work of institutions like Dana-Farber.
I'm reaching out to ask for your support in honoring Pete and Daisy's memory and continuing the vital work of Dana-Farber. Please consider making a donation to my ride. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference in the lives of those fighting cancer.
Thank you so much for considering my request. Your generosity means the world to me and to all those touched by cancer.
Warm regards,
Rennie
