On August 7th and 8th the Pan Mass Challenge (PMC), will be happening this year. The PMC is a charity bike ride, which raises money for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. This charity has raised $767 million dollars to date. Donations this year are more important than ever. With the height of COVID happening last summer, the Pan Mass Challenge fell short of raising the money needed. Although it might have felt like life was put on pause due to the pandemic, cancer was not put on pause. As one of Dana Farber’s single largest contributors (accounting for over 50% of its annual revenue) the reduction in fundraising last year had a devastating effect on the research programs vital to its focus.
Although I will not be able to physically ride in the PMC event this year, I will be doing a virtual ride near NYC, similar to the ride I completed last year. The money I raise supports the research for pediatric brain tumors, both DIPG & PLGA. This money helps advance research, and with your support, find a cure.
