I am thrilled to announce that I've committed to riding in the 2025 Pan Mass Challenge, an endurance bikeride that raises more money for charity than any other single event in the country.
The first time I participated in the PMC, I rode with a small team of friends & family (aptly named Rockstar Cycling) in the wake of my Uncle Matt's lung cancer diagnosis. He beat the odds for 7 years, and showed me that some battles are worth fighting, no matter what the odds. While it's going to feel a lot different without him waiting at the finish line, I am honored and humbled to join 7,000+ other riders that have their own story, their own loved ones, their own cause, and their own reasons for spending their weekend on a seat the size of a pizza slice.
Now 10 years later, Rockstar Cycling stands on the brink of something remarkable: raising over $100,000 for The Jänne Lab at Dana Farber to conduct groundbreaking EGFR research and targeted therapies. The same type of research that gave Matt seven more years of birthdays, gigs, holidays, and precious moments with those he loved.
Sure, my bike shorts might be a bit more snug and my training schedule now involves negotiating with toddlers, but the mission remains crystal clear: to pedal towards a future where cancer is a chapter in history books, not in family stories.
