Hello All!
First of all, thank you for thinking about supporting me and my fundraising effort for the Pan-Mass Challenge! In August, I will be riding 162 miles over 2 days with Team Grateful Living to raise money and awareness for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
I hope you will consider helping me reach my fundraising goal of $6,000. No donation is too small (and none is too big). 100% of the money you give will go directly to support cancer research at the Institute that will improve outcomes for people battling cancer. You can learn more about the Institute's mission and current work by visiting: https://www.dana-farber.org/everywhere.
Like nearly every person in the world, I have had friends and family members who were diagnosed with cancer. My mother, Doloritas, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2007. My friend, Isaac, was diagnosed in 2016. Fortunately, they both are alive today and cancer-free! Their outcomes are the result of advances in cancer research achieved at places like the Dana-Farber Institute. Because of this my mom gets to see her grand-children grow up, she even gets to watch her great-grandchild play baseball every summer. She saw me graduate college and from law school. These are priceless memories that were made possible by the fact that resources were devoted to fight cancer.
Unfortunately, not all who receive a cancer diagnosis get the same outcome. My friend, Mandy, passed away in 2023 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was only 42. While incredible advancements in cancer treatment have been made, there is clearly more work to be done to study it and improve outcomes. That is why I am riding. Doing the Pan-Mass Challenge is one way that you and I can contribute to this effort. I hope you will consider joining the cause and make a donation today!
Thanks so much!
Rob
