Dear Family and Friends,

This is my twentieth consecutive Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC). I am again riding the original two-day, Sturbridge, MA-Provincetown/Cape Cod, MA 192 mile route August 2-3, 2025. It is an overwhelming experience in a positive and loving way. Riders, supporters, cancer survivors and friends all come together for a common cause - to find a cure for cancer. I am riding again in 2025 to raise more funds for treatment, research and services.

This year, as with my prior PMC rides, I ride in memory of my mother Mary-Ruth O'Neill Martin, who passed from lung cancer at age 39 when I was a HS senior. Her passing fueled my drive to devote years of time, training and effort to raise funds, awareness and to fight for a cure for this dreaded disease. I also ride for family members, friends and for all cancer victims who passed including my first cousin Mike O'Neill, my second cousin Sheila (O'Neill) Curran, my Aunt/Godmother Patricia (Martin) Beaudoin, my grandmother M.-Ruth O'Neill, my uncle Phil O'Neill, survivors like my father Al Martin, Uncle/ Godfather Bob O'Neill, cousin Joe Curran, PMC Pedal Partners Faith Monroe, Brent McCreesh, Brendan Barrie, Sophia Jarest, Brady, Mason, Jace, and dozens of family/ friends who passed or are survivors. In short, cancer must be cured, and survival rates/services must be increased.

Much progress has been made in fighting cancer over the years. Improved research and new treatments have enabled many adults and children to fight and win their particular forms of cancer. However, more work needs to be done to wipe out cancer completely.

In order for me to fight this uphill battle against cancer, I need your help. While I personally hate to solicit money, especially during these difficult economic times, I need to ask for your financial assistance.
