Hello My Dear Friends:
This year marks my 22nd consecutive year riding in the Pan Mass Challenge fundraising for Dana Farber Cancer Hospital.
II put in months of training across the USA. Cycling in the hills around San Francisco, the dessert canyons in Las Vegas, Through the White Mountains of New Hampshire and all-around New England to prepare for this years ride.
This year’s ride is personal- A monumental point in my life. I will FINALLY achieve the $100,000-dollar fundraising goal I set for myself back in 2003! It is my hope that when you read this, you will be excited to help support me in achieving this fundraising goal to help end cancer.
I know you all have charities that are close to your heart but if you could make room for this very important PMC fundraiser- I would be extremely grateful.
WHY I RIDE: Rita & Joseph Medeiros
My Parents: The beautiful, sassy & creative Rita Medeiros, The handsome & charismatic Joseph Medeiros. Both dedicated their time and effort to help fundraise for the PMC despite their own circumstances battling colon cancer. My aunt Marge battled pancreatic cancer, and many friends’ family members fought against breast, brain, skin, and blood cancers. I know I am not alone in having those close to me be touched by cancer. It is my hope that one day soon, no one will receive a cancer diagnosis.
The PMC harnesses our collective commitment to help fundraise for life saving cancer research at Dana Farber Cancer Hospital. It is because of research that Dana Farber has made such innovations in global cancer treatments. These treatments help people from every walk of life around the world.Cancer has a ripple effect on everyone. It is for this reason I humbly ask for your donation (no matter how big or small) to help END CANCER.
I committed to training & pedaling the 200 miles and will continue to fundraise for this life saving research with your help. Thank you.
