On August 4th and 5th of this year, my husband Jeff and I will join more than 7,000 bicyclists in riding 200 miles across Massachusetts in the Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC). The PMC is the largest single cancer fundraising event in the country and a full 100% of the dollars raised by the event will go to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
This year will be my second ride with TeamBrentWheels, a team formed in support of Brent McCreesh. Brent is a long time friend of my fifteen-year-old son Patrick. Brent is currently cancer free and is living proof that Dana-Farber saves lives. After treatment at Dana-Farber for neuroblastoma and overcoming incredible odds, Brent now spends his time skiing and enjoying high school just like any other teen.
