Dear Family and Friends -
As the warm weather of summer sets in, I begin the training regimen for my 19th PMC ride. Together, we have raised $150K over the last 18 years for cancer research. I am thankful for your support during this time because I know that your contribution helps research doctors at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute find remedies to treat cancers that save lives. While my daughter, Catalina (a rising junior at Endicott College and 19 years in remission) continues to serve as an inspiration for me, there are so many more people that have impacted my life’s journey that I’d be remiss if I didn’t ride in their honor and/or memory. This past year has been harder than most for people and families that I know personally. I think we can all agree that cancer is a horrendous insidious disease that can rob individuals and families of life without a hint of remorse. While I know, it’s a tall task to defeat it - we can and we will!
Last year, collectively PMC riders, sponsors, donors (YOU) and volunteers raised $72 million for Dana Farber and The Jimmy Fund. Dana Farber allocated 100% of ridership raised funds as directed below to bring a world without cancer closer by the mile.
