Back at it for Year 2! Excited to be participating in my second Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC), a 186 mile bike ride spanning two days (August 3rd and 4th 2024) and the majority of the state of Massachusetts. My ride will start at Sturbridge in central MA and end in Provincetown at the very tip of Cape Cod.
Last year was an absolute blast and I was amazed by how much money we were able to raise for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute so I am excited to participate again next month. Additionally, this year the PMC is projected to cross the $1 Billion dollars raised mark, a staggering number which would not be achievable without your support.
I am riding in honor of my dad, who is a cancer survivor. He was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, a blood cancer, in August of 2022. After many months of radiation, chemo, and a bone marrow transplant, he has been in remission since April of 2023. This was made possible due to the continued improvement of treatments, a direct result of the work being done at Dana-Farber and other research institutes across the world.
Since there is no existing cure for Multiple Myeloma, continued research is extremely important. By donating to organizations such as Dana-Farber, you are able to make a direct impact and help fund the fight against a wide range of cancers, including Multiple Myeloma.
I’m excited to get back on the bike this year, and bring my brother Liam along for the ride (https://profile.pmc.org/LK0213), and use our platform to allow your generous donations to make a tangible difference. Thank you all in advance for your support, it means more than you know.
