Dear Friends:
The Pan-Mass Challenge is an annual two-day bike ride from Boston to the tip of Cape Cod in Provincetown - where participants raise money for important cancer research at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, Massachusetts.
Since its inception in 1980, this annual event has raised over $900 million in support of cancer research.
I will again be joining my dear friend - and cancer survivor - Josh Fine, to ride in the Pan-Mass Challenge, as part of his team Kickin' Asphalt. While I was always a steady supporter of others who rode the Pan-Mass Challenge, it wasn't until Josh fell ill with Multiple Myeloma that I realized that I needed to do more, and it's been my honor to be his teammate for almost 10 years.
Funds raised by our team will be used to continue the support of Dr. Paul Richardson’s Multiple Myeloma Research Fund, whose research has directly benefited Josh's recovery to date. It is because of groundbreaking research supported by your contributions that friends like Josh are able to survive and thrive.
The ongoing support the Pan-Mass Challenge provides to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is meaningful - and I am so thankful for your continued generosity over the years.
So in a month's time I’ll head north again to join my New England teammates to turn our pedals in support of cancer research as we join 6,000 other cyclists riding from Wellesley to Provincetown.
Whatever you can contribute through the weekend of the ride - August 3rd and 4th - will have even more impact...because if you can get my total funds raised to $7500, I'll match that amount to turbocharge your generosity!
Tailwinds,
Raj
