Dear Friends and Family - For the 17th time I will be riding in the Pan-Mass Challenge! 163 miles over 2 days, August 3 and 4. Why?? Because cancer has brought heartache to all of us. I am healthy and this is what I can do to help find a cure. But I need your help. To participate I am required to raise $6,000. I will do the pedaling and hope you will support me with a donation of any amount. AND, I will carry a name for you; simply leave me a note in the “riders notes” when you make a donation.
My 2024 ride is dedicated to my lifelong friend Ada, who lost her fight in September 2023. Ada and I went through all our lives, including 60 birthdays together. We were campmates, classmates, roommates, workmates (yes, TGI Fridays was work), and together we were work-out buddies, bridesmaids, young moms, aging athletes, and all-round BFFs. I watched Ada fight her cancer while maintaining her golf stroke and broad friend-groups, with the most beautiful and contagious smile and most positive outlook you could imagine. I wish that I knew cancer would finally claim her at a moment’s notice. CANCER SUCKS.
We have all lost loved ones. We all have stories. This is what the PMC is all about. I ride my bike all year long, but the PMC is 2 days of riding in honor of, and in memory of, our loved ones.
Thank you for your past generosity. I ask you again this year to consider supporting my efforts by donating to my 2024 ride. Every donor-donated dollar goes to the fight to beat Cancer – and we will win! I am so grateful for your support!
