Dear Friends,

I hope you are all well and looking forward to some summer fun. As we map out our plans, one of the highlights on my calendar is my 13th consecutive ride supporting the PMC with Team Berkshire Partners! You may recall that last year’s ride was reimagined a bit as I logged my miles from Croatia while Emily and I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary. This year, I’m eager to be back with the thousands of other riders making the trek from Wellesley to Provincetown over the course of two incredibly moving days in early August.

It seems like with each passing year, the number of friends lost to and/or battling cancer only goes up. This year’s toll has included dear friends from business school, a colleague from a board on which I serve; and very close to home, Team Berkshire Partners had to say goodbye to our beloved Cathy Parsons, who lost her relentless battle against glioblastoma just this month. Cathy was a tremendous supporter of the PMC, running the Wellfleet water stop in her gigantic blonde wig for almost three decades, always there to encourage riders to push through the final stretch toward the finish line. I count it a privilege to take part in the PMC and to know that each year the funds raised bring us closer to a cure and fewer premature goodbyes.
