Why I Ride ...
I'm a proud supporter of the PMC, and I am thrilled the PMC is back in full force in 2022.
I first rode in 2009 in honor of Big Jon, a dear friend who left us in 2007 at much too young an age. I have since added additional honorees. First was Bob Joffe, who passed away in early 2010, who was a fine man and a better friend. All his friends, family and colleagues miss him every day. Eduardo Palerm Rincon, my father-in-law, lost his fight with cancer almost 20 years ago. His family still needs him. And finally Alex Lipe, who died of cancer in 2019 after a brutal two years.
For all of them, the ride is a way to remind myself how better the world would be had cancer not taken their lives.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
I will remember them.
