It's that time of year again, I've been struggling with composing the email this time...I was really hoping for a year where cancer wasn't hitting close to home,..again..
On the weekend of 8/3-4 I will be riding 190 miles from Sturbridge to Provincetown for my 6th year participating in the Pan-Mass Challenge(PMC) to raise money for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
This past year a dear vibrant friend was diagnosed with glioblastoma, an aggressive nasty evil brain cancer that came out of nowhere. The treatments are god awful but she's battling the hell out of it, fingers and toes crossed!
I will be riding for her and for other friends that are continuing the fight so bravely over many years, and in honor of the human and furry friends and relatives who have moved on from the fight to a better existence.
I've made a commitment to raise the minimum $6,000 but my personal goal is $12,000. 100% of your donations go to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute to support care and research for cures. The PMC is the institute’s largest single contributor, raising more than 60 percent of the annual revenue at The Jimmy Fund. I know there are many out there who are struggling financially these days, if you are able to donate, anything you can contribute is greatly appreciated (and tax deductible).
