Next weekend on August 3rd and 4th, I am excited to participate in my first Pan Mass Challenge bike ride, a two-day, 186-mile journey from Sturbridge to Provincetown, MA to raise awareness and funds for cancer research. Throughout my time living and working in the Boston area, I have been in awe of the many friends and colleagues I have known who ride year after year in the PMC and support this incredible cause. I am so glad that this year I will be riding with two close college friends as part of a 100 plus person team (the Cruss11tour) to raise money for brain cancer research. The team has grown to include all ages and broad connections and each of us will honor friends and family who have either lost their lives to cancer or are in the midst of a fierce battle against the disease.
While I feel well prepared for the ride and am committed to cover the miles, I need your help and support to raise the critical cancer research funds and to achieve my personal fund raising goal of $15,000. The PMC means so much to the fight against cancer having raised over $1B since it was started. In 2023 alone, the event raised $72M, 100% of which was provided to Dana-Farber to help battle a wide range of cancers and to support the remarkable work of its staff, researchers and physicians.
Donations of any size are greatly appreciated. As noted above, 100% of your tax-deductible contribution will go directly to the Jimmy Fund of the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. To make an online contribution, please click on the following link: https://donate.pmc.org/RD0308
If you prefer to write a check, please make it payable to “PMC”, indicate “RD0308” in the memo area, and send it to my home address: 15 Davis Avenue, West Newton, MA 02465
Many thanks!
