This year marks my second year riding in the Pan-Mass Challenge, and the PMC has held a special place in my heart for as long as I can remember.
For 17 years, I cheered & volunteered as a daughter, cheering on my dad — a 41-year cancer survivor — as he rode with strength and purpose. Last year, I had the honor of riding beside him, alongside our whole family. Crossing that finish line changed something in me. It was the first time I truly felt that kind of deep accomplishment — not for myself, but for something far greater. For others. For the fight.
You realize that riding 192 miles is nothing compared to what so many families, survivors, and fighters have gone through. That understanding became my motivation. My dad was the one who first insipired me to get on that bike. But after last year, it became so much more. I had to do it again. I craved that feeling — that overwhelming purpose behind every mile.
This year, our family ride will look a little different, but I’m proud to say that I’ll be joined by my two little sisters. The three of us will ride as Team Chev, and we’re fired up to exceed our fundraising goal of $18,000, building on the $36,000+ we raised last year.
I ride for my grandfather “Poppy,” a cancer survivor.
I ride in memory of my grandfather “Morfar,” who lost his life to this disease — though cancer never took his humor, his smile, or his spirit, even at the very end.
I ride for every person fighting, for those we've lost, for the families standing bravely beside a loved one, and for the survivors — the living proof that this ride makes a difference.
I am personally committed to raising $6,000 to participate in this ride. I know I will reach that goal — because this mission is too important not to.
Please donate to show your strength, your fight, your hope.
Let’s beat this battle together. 100% of all rider-raised funds go directly to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
Ride on, baby.
