Why I Ride ...
I'm a proud supporter of the PMC because it is leading a charge to beat cancer. In fact, last year 100% of rider-raised revenue went directly to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding a cure.
This my eleventh year doing the PMC and it never gets old. I have lost family members, friends and acquaintances to cancer and this ride is one small way for me to help and honor their fight.
This year our team has “adopted” a pedal partner. Cloe is an eight-year-old girl receiving the best possible care at Dana Farber. We met Cloe at Fenway Park with her parents to let them know we were pedaling for them and all those battling cancer.
This August, over 6,000 riders will join from all over the country and from around the world to ride for a critical common cause. It’s a remarkable phenomenon where people get together for two days (and subsist on rubber chicken, leather hamburgers and peanut butter and marshmallow fluff sandwiches - and fruit!) to raise over $70 million dollars for Dana Farber - and then disperse until next year.
Please support my ride, and children like Cloe, with as generous a contribution as you can make – it’ll make you feel so good!
