THANK YOU for supporting me in this important event year after year. I appreciate it and know that it is making a difference. Cancer care is improving and the research is strengthening…. because EVERY LITTLE BIT HELPS ! Yet there is still a long way to go…
I ride in memory of my Mother who passed away in July 2012 after a long battle with Ovarian cancer and for countless friends and family. We’ve all lost friends, people we love, this past year and seen others survive and thrive. The roller coaster continues.
This year several people are on my mind as I train, raise money and ridein August. They, like so many others, are in the heat of battle dealing with cancer as it effects themselves, loved ones and people in their community. Hearing what they endure and knowing the pain is deep brings me back every year. I encourage you to do something too - raise awareness, donate money, give time or even visit someone battling cancer. It makes a difference !
Training outside cannot start soon enough for the 39th Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC), the nation's largest sports fundraising event raising money for research and care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI). I will be one of over 6,000 cyclists attempting to beat last year's record of $52 million ! This success is the result of a lot of people riding for, and caring about, a cure. And because every penny matters, 100% of every donation goes to DFCI.
Please join me in support of the research and care that this ride raises money for. I'm committed to help kicking cancer's ass and I'm riding for my Mom and all the people I know or have known that have fought or are fighting.... and the list is sadly long.
Please support me.... and I'll ride for you too.
Last year 100% of rider-raised revenue went directly to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding a cure. That’s $52 MILLION !
