Year 21 and still so many reasons to ride, some sad, some triumphant, some still fighting, some recently lost. Cancer sucks.

On August 2 and 3, I will be bicycling 163 miles from Wellesley to Provincetown in the 2025 Pan Mass Challenge, the country’s largest athletic fundraising event with a goal to raise over $75M this year to add to the $1billion raised since inception! Mine is to raise $6,000. Over the 20 years ridden thus far, thanks to all who’ve donated, I’ve raised over $125,000 to fight cancer.

Since my first ride in 2005, my donations go to Neuroblastoma care, research and cures through my affiliation with the Friends for Life Team (Tony, Elaine & all). This a particularly rare, evil and virulent form of cancer affecting very young children, normally under the age of 5. Great progress has been made but children are still dying - there is so much more to do.

I ride for those fighting today, those who’ve survived, and those who valiantly fought – friends, family, colleagues, Bruce, Mary, Yelena, Etta, Andrew and others.
