This year, I am joining the amazing Team Noble Effort as a rider for the first time. It has been 10 years - a decade - since we lost our husband, father, friend and all around exemplary person, Mike Noble, to pancreatic cancer. My children and I miss him every day. Mike was an ardent supporter of the PMC. I am committing to the Reimagined Ride, in his memory, with a goal of 25 miles.
With your help, our family has raised almost a million dollars to support pancreatic cancer research at Dana Farber! We hope to reach the million dollar mark this year, which would be a fitting tribute to mark the 10 years that Mike has been gone. Two of Mike's siblings have passed away from pancreatic cancer. I ride in their memory, as well.
This is a horrible disease that still has a dismal survival rate. I know that Brian Wolpin and his team at Dana Farber are working tirelessly to find a method of early detection, targeted treatments, and an eventual cure for pancreatic cancer. I am proud to support their efforts and ask you to please help them continue their important work. Every dollar raised by Team Noble Effort goes directly to Dr. Wolpin and his team through the Michael C. Noble Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund.
Please dig deep this year in memory of Mike, and in honor of his commitment to see this disese eradicated. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
