Yes. I'm riding PMC again for the ninth time this summer! Despite moving South in 2016, I have continued to ride the Pan Mass Challenge (PMC) because I believe in the power of research to help solve and treat disease, especially cancer. Many of you are very familiar with the PMC, but for those of you new to the cause, the event raises money for life saving research and treatment at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute through an annual bike a thon across Massachusetts. (It's the largest athletic fundraiser in the US.) I've been training all year to make sure that I can complete the nearly 90 mile trek from Wellesley the Bourne again.

Thank you to those of my family and friends for supporting me over the years; and, I'm writing to request your financial support again for my ride this year. Although I will do the race on August 3rd, you have until September 30th to donate. I am riding again with the Fidelity team and we are celebrating 20 years of riding the PMC.  I'm so looking forward to seeing my former colleagues and friends! I am doing fundraising for both prostrate cancer and pediatric brain cancer research. Like so many of you, our lives have been touched by cancer. (I lost both my maternal grandparents to cancer.) Our latest experience with cancer was Donn's prostate cancer diagnosis in 2019 with surgery in early 2020. Fortunately, they caught it in time and he is now five years cancer free. My grandfather died from this disease and my Uncle was also a survivor which is a testament to the advances in prostate cancer research.

In addition to raising money for prostate cancer reseach, I am also raising money for pediatric brain cancer along with many member of the Fidelity team. 15 years ago, my son lost his best friend, Tommy Weaver, to brain cancer and it had a devasting impact on Charlie that we wouldn't learn about for several years. Pediatric brain cancer has also effected two close friends' sons, who fortunately have both survived this devasting disease.
