I ride in memory and support of all of my family and friends who have fought, who are fighting now, and who have beat this terrible disease. Like most, a number that is much too high, of close family member from both Jessica’s and my family have been affected by this terrible disease. The spirt of those that have passed and the steadfast effort of the survivors has been incredibly inspirational in their battle with cancer.
I'm a proud supporter of the PMC because it is leading the charge to beat cancer. 100% of rider-raised revenue goes directly to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding a cure. The PMC raises more money for charity than any other single event in the country. This success is the result of a lot of people riding for, and caring about, a cure.
Once again, I am accepting the challenge. The challenge to raise funds that will directly impact the research for a cure. This year I will be starting my ride in Sturbridge for a 112-mile first day, finishing in Bourne. Bourne to Provincetown to follow, for another 84-miles. My past experience with the PMC has been nothing less than amazing. The inspiration of my riding partners, those fighting cancer and those whom have fought, have hardened my decision and commitment.
I will once again ride along with Team MG. This year, the funds I raise will be directed towards Dana Farber's South Shore contingent of doctors researching and fighting Multiple Myeloma. This effort hits particularly close to home.
I can't express how excited I am to help in such a direct and meaningful way....with something as simple as a bike ride. Please consider supporting our cause as we ride for a cure!
