I am riding in memory of my father, Frederick (Rick) Parker Little Jr. who lost his battle with cancer 8 years ago. Throughout his 3 year battle, he was incredibly strong and resilient despite the many challenges he faced. From his diagnosis that came just two days before Christmas unitl his passing, he never once gave up and his focus was always on caring for those around him despite the struggle and pain he was in. Having watched his battle firsthand, the experience has contributed significantly to who I am today.
I am very lucky to have met others along the way who have endured the same fighting experience and loss of such a significant figure in their lives far too soon. A few of those people, John, Matt, and Steve Griffin are what led me to joining Team Fear Nothing for my first PMC ride this year. I am excited to join the team and ride with a group that has become family to me.
Though my father's ride ended too soon, I ride in hopes that one day that will not be the case for someone else. I appreciate any support you can provide for my ride and for Dana Farber. Know that this support will be in my mind as I ride through the hills towards Provincetown in August.
