This year I am taking on my first ever Pan Mass Challenge! While this may be my first time riding a bike past 10 miles, I am so excited to take on the 162 miles over two days with Team Duncan.
Team Duncan, formerly Team WOW, began in 1999 and was lead by Dr. Eric Winer, former Chief of the Division of Women's Cancers and Director of the Breast Oncology Program at Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. In 2019, Dr. Winer changed the name to Team Duncan in memory of patient Duncan Driscoll Finigan who was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer in October 2014 and passed in May 2019.
Duncan is the mother of my good friend and co-worker, Alec. Over the years of knowing Alec, I have always admired the legacy and inspiration that Duncan left, along with the amount of fun Team Duncan seems to have while riding for a great cause. I am proud to join such an inspiring group.
Please consider donating to my PMC ride. Every dollar raised goes directly to the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute to support their tireless work in cancer research and treatment. Your support can make a significant difference in the fight against cancer and help countless individuals and families.
Thank you so much in advance for your support of Team Duncan, the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute
