Dear Friends, Family, and Colleagues,
The Pan-Massachusetts Challenge (PMC<http://www.pmc.org/>) raises money for life-saving cancer research and treatment at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute<http://www.dfci.harvard.edu/> through an annual bike-a-thon that crosses the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. This will be my 8th year participating in the PMC. I am unable to ride this year; however, I will continue to support my team by raising money as a virtual rider as well as volunteering to support riders at a water stop on the 192 mile route. This is the 39th year for the PMC and to date; the PMC has contributed over $664 million dollars and is the largest single contributor to the Jimmy Fund and the Dana Farber. The goal this year is to raise over $60 Million! I am very proud to be a part of this organization.
Once again this year cancer has affected a close family friend. I know that cancer is an incredibly tough opponent and that too many people lose their battles, but as tough as its been to see loved ones suffer, I continue to witness the advancement in treatments which gives us all hope.
I am riding in memory of loved ones who have lost their battle as well as those who continue their fight.
As always, I know that the ride will be a challenge, but the support network is always amazing and spring training has begun. I am a once again daunted by the fundraising goal; but, with your help I know we will meet or surpass my personal target of $5500. Please know that 100% of the money I raise will go directly to the Jimmy Fund.
If you are interested in helping me reach this goal, there are several very easy ways to donate. No donation is too big or too small. Every bit helps.
If you would like to donate online, you can use the following link:
