This August, I'll be riding in the Pan Mass Bike Challenge for the second year in a row, cycling just under 200 miles from Sturbridge, MA to Provincetown, MA over 2 days! The PMC is an annual bike race in support of the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
Finishing up my first year of college surrounded by the country's finest research hospitals, I was able to see first hand the passion and impact that organizations like the Dana Farber Cancer Institute have on the university community and the broader health community. In light of current events, Dana Farber has lost many of its government grants that enable it to research life-saving treatments to cancer. Events like the PMC are now more important than ever to help contribute to the hole left by the federal government.
Though I have not been personally affected by cancer, I have seen its impacts all around me, which is why I have decided to take on this challenge, using my love for cycling to make positive change in the world.
But I cannot do it alone, I need your help to reach my fundraising goal of $6000!
Your contribution, no matter how small, will make an impact in the fight against cancer.
Please join me in this journey of hope and healing.
