Year 6 is here!!! My son Adam (and my son-in-law Tom) and I will be heading out on the two-day Pan Mass Challenge cycling event raising money to fight cancer for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. We ride again with 12 great friends as part of team Deerfield Academy. This is an amazing event, with a 2-day, 200-mile cycling challenge beginning in Sturbridge MA and finishing in Provincetown MA on Cape Cod.
The power of the PMC in New England is amazing! Thousands of people are treated each year by the collective cancer centers at Dana Farber and Mass General Partners Cancer Care. We ride for all of them, and while this hits home for my family (my wife is a 20+ year Melanoma cancer survivor thanks to Dana Farber Mass General) we also ride for our new pedal partner Liam McCarthy in 2024. He's currently undergoing cancer treatment at Dana Farber and is a 3-year-old happy little boy who likes to run and play!
So for the next few weeks, we continue to train in preparation for the event on the first weekend in August. So here we go.....We appreciate any and all donations for this great cause, knowing that it supports so many people requiring cancer care. Keep in mind that 100% of rider-raised revenue goes directly to support the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding a cure.
