Why I Ride ...
Year 8 and back on track! What is not reimagined is my goal to raise over $5,000 for cancer research for the Jimmy Fund and the Dana Faber Cancer Institute.
Seven years ago, I completed my first PMC challenge - a 192 mile bike ride spread over 2 consecutive days - and to say it was one of the most humbling expieiences of my life would be an understatement. The effort put forth by the organizers and volunteers is unmatched, the support from families and friends of riders and residents along the Cape unwavering, and inspiration from other riders, all with a story, is beyond comprehension. To see the lives that have been touched at the opening ceremony and on the countless posters along the ride route, all because of monies earned through the PMC challenge is nothing short of amazing.
I'm going to be back in the saddle and riding with Team Lindenmeyr! Highly motivated this year because of the reality that cancer is not remote and is making everyday life that much scarier and more difficult to navigate for those who have or had cancer.
100% of rider-raised revenue goes directly to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding a cure. Please consider making a donation in my name to support me and my goals, but really to make a positive change in a year where the world is throwing up obstacles left and right. Now more than ever a joint effort is needed to overcome the evil of cancer.
