This year I’m riding the 2025 PMC for the 2nd year in a row for two very special people - 5 year old Owen Noonan, and 24 year old Liam LaMonica-Lacey. 

During the 2023 holiday season, my best friend Lauren received devastating news that her son Owen was diagnosed with B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). Owen has courageously been beast-moding treatments since, and his journey is far from over. Despite the uncertainty that Owen continues to face each day, he does so with courage, resilience, and a smile that lights up a room. If Owen can do this, we can do anything.

In August of 2024 our family was hit with devastating news that my cousin Liam was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer at the age of 24. Liam underwent multiple intense surgeries and continues ongoing chemo treatments. His chemo treatments have taken a huge toll on him physically and mentallly, but thanks to Dana Farber they are HELPING. All thanks to the amazing staff and technology at Dana Farber, Liam is kicking cancers ass. He's now turning the corner and able to do more and more for himself each day. The treatments at Dana Farber work, and THAT is why we raise money to ride.

I’m honored to be able to ride for a 2nd year in a row with Team Fitz for Owen and Liam, and for anyone who has struggled with or lost someone to cancer. Those including friends and family very close to my heart: Jacqueline Berry (2x cancer survivor), my uncle Padraig Lacey, and my grandparents who are no longer with us, Phillip & Maria LaMonica. This ride is so much more than 180 miles, this ride is for them.
