Why I Ride ...
This year's ride is especially meaningful as it is my 12 year paticipating in this great event. On August 6th, 2012 I lost my co-worker, training partner, ZipCar team member and most importantly my dear friend Chris to cancer. And in October 2014 I lost my sister-in-law who suffered for years with this awful disease. Last year I lost my sister-in-laws son who also suufered a great deal from this awful disease. In 2017 my wifes niece was diagnosed with a very serious type of cancer and she is in for a fight for her life. This makes me more committed to keep riding and keep supporting Dana Farber So that some day we wont lose any famiyl members or friends that we love so much.Cancer doesn't discriminate. I spent the summer that Chris was sick helping him get to his appointments and watching Chris go through treatments. I saw first hand the benefits that donations to the PMC generate but also witnessed the work that still needs to be accomplished so that all cancers can have a cure. We must never stop pedaling, way too many lives are still battling this deadly disease! I am honored to be a part of Team ZipCar once again. With your help we will get one step closer to not losing any more dear friends like Chris andr family members that I have lost. Thank you in advance for your generous support.
