The tradition continues....
The PMC has become an integral part of my year, from the first email that comes in January, to the boat ride back to Boston. I signed up the first time for the ride, but i have come back every year because of the community and what the ride stands for. This ride is about raising money to save lives, and more often than we think these are the lives of our loved ones, the ride itself is really a celebration of that lifesaving effort and the support from the donors and fans along the roads is what makes it all worth it.
Cancer has claimed many members of my family and most recently my father had a successful bout with prostate cancer. During that 15 years that i have been ridding a have seen two other people who are close to me beat this disease, thanks in no small part to the amazing treatments that we now have as a result of the research that this event funds. Spending the first weekend in Aug. ridding with 6,000 other people who are passionate about helping cure this disease is something that i am proud to be part of.
