I have made the commitment to ride the Pan Mass Challenge in 2023 for the 12th time. This year will be my first in person ride since COVID and I am looking forward to participating alongside fellow riders and volunteers. This year I will be riding with my brother-in-law Bill on his first ride. This will be my 11th Father's Day since my father passed away from colon cancer and still my main motivation for riding in the PMC. Another motivation for participating in the PMC has always been to support the Dana Farber and Jimmy Fund research to find cures for cancers because you never know when it will affect yourself or a loved one.

This year the PMC will be on August 5th and 6th. I will be riding my bike almost 200 miles from Sturbridge to PTown with the goal of raising a record $70 million for the Jimmy Fund. The PMC is responsible for over 60 percent of all Jimmy Fund revenue and almost 20 percent of Dana-Farber’s unrestricted money. Every year in the United States, 650,000 people die from cancer. Dana-Farber counts on the PMC to deliver funds that allow them to serve the cancer community..
