On August 3rd and 4th, I will be riding 162 miles from Wellesley to Provincetown, MA. I'm a proud supporter of the PMC because it is leading the charge to beat cancer. 100% of rider-raised revenue goes directly to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding a cure.
There are unfortunately too many people in our lives to name who have fought and continue to fight against cancer. This year, I'm dedicating my ride to a few very special patients currently undergoing treatment.
- I'm riding for our dear friend from college Thompson, who is valiantly fighting against an extremely rare form of cancer while continuing to show up as a husband and Dad to two wonderful 6 and 2-year-old boys. He lives in a state of excruciating pain and still shows up for baseball practice.
- I'm riding for our 4-year-old friends Kieran and Owen who are currently undergoing treatment for Leukemia. Their families' strength is nothing short of amazing and we ride in hopes of finding better treatments for our youngest patients, so no other families like theirs should need to face this in the future.
- I also ride for my brave mother-in-law Janet, who fought and clawed her way through treatment for metastatic colon cancer not once, but twice. She is currently considered cancer free but lives with some long-term effects. We are eternally grateful every day that our Gramma is with us thanks to ground-breaking treatments at Dana-Farber.
If you are able, please donate and support my ride at the link here: https://profile.pmc.org/MT0104
Please keep me and my team in your thoughts and prayers the first weekend of August! We will need all the good vibes for sunshine and our saddles.
Thanks in advance for your love and support!
