I'm a proud supporter of the PMC because it is leading a charge to beat cancer. In fact, last year 100% of rider-raised revenue went directly to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding a cure.
Each summer, thousands of riders, volunteers, and supporters gather for a bike-a-thon across Massachusetts with a common mission: raise funds to fight cancer in support of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. This is the first year that I will be riding in the PMC which takes place from August 3rd and 4th riding 186 miles (Logistics – Sturbridge to Provincetown Inn Route | Pan-Mass Challenge (pmc.org)). I will be riding alongside many but specifically five St. Lawrence University friends. 2024 is indeed MORE and I am excited for PMC 2024 not only for the joining and riding with Team Lick Cancer, but additionally riding across Massachusetts with friends that are loving, committed, and dedicated to the cause. As I embark upon the training and preparation, I have a growing appreciation and gratitude for all the riders and supporters.
I appreciate you and thank you for your commitment and interest.
During the past 40 years, the PMC has contributed over $972 million since 1980 and $72 million in 2023 alone to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Amazingly very close to being the first and only charitable bike ride to break the billion-dollar mark! I have made a personal commitment to ride PMC 2024 and to raise $6,000. I hope you can help me achieve this goal.
When you participate in the PMC as a donor, a volunteer, or a rider you are part of the greater good. It is, and will continue to be, a great cause with 100% of the funds go directly to the charity and it is tax deductible.
I am riding for many, but specifically thinking of the following:
