2024 - Let's Gooooooo!!! This is a big year. This is the year the PMC reaches the 1 Billion mark - that's right. With a B.
I'm looking forward to year #6. I'll be back with the Bain team as an alum - it's a welcoming group and I have some more stories to hear and share as we ride.
Thank you to my donors - both repeats and new ones. All of you are supporting this great cause.
I ride in memory. I ride with hope that we can find a way to beat cancer. It is time. Many thanks to everyone who supports the PMC.
PMC weekend is powerful - and it feels good to contribute! I remember 1st hearing about the PMC ride and wondering if I could do it. Could I make the 190 miles? (now years later I know I can even is moderately trained). And then I asked a friend about his experiences riding the PMC and I was blown away. He sent me the letters he sends to sponsors the day after. I could hear the emotion in his words. I wanted to ride. I wanted to support this cause.
I lost my Aunt Betty to cancer. She was way too young and it was so hard to see her pass. And she meant so much to our whole family. She taught me to knit. Yes, this is true.
I lost my college roommate to cancer - again, way too early. I remember speaking at his service. Looking into the eyes of his wife and two young daughters trying to find any words that would console them. An impossible task.
And now a great friend rode the PMC last year and now is battling cancer.
I'm a proud supporter of the PMC because it is leading a charge to beat cancer. In fact, last year 100% of rider-raised revenue went directly to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding a cure.
Thank you for all the support!
