Dear Friends and Family,
On August 2, I will be riding in the PMC as the work for cures for cancer continue every single day. While Ali is not riding with me this year, I will continue to donate all funds I raise to the Patient Assistant Fund, which provides assistance to those who cannot otherwise afford the cost of Dana Farber's exceptional care.
Each year since I've been riding, I experience some extraordinary moments (honesty, every moment is extraordinary, but there are some standouts). In Lakeville, one of the rest stops, I found myself standing behind someone who was riding in memory of Bob - he had affixed a sign to his jersey.
And this year, while I ride, I will be energized by our grandson, Torin, now 18 months, who not only has the same unruly hair as his grandfather but is obsessed with baseball!
We all know someone currently battling cancer, or who has lost their life to cancer, or who is caring for someone with cancer. And donating to the PMC is one tangible way to help. I would also be honored to carry the names of any loved ones with me on the ride.
