I am once again reaching out to ask for your support as I commit to riding the Pan Mass Challenge for the 14th year. When the PMC celebrated passing the $1 billion mark last year in total money raised, we knew the work was not done. What we did not know then was that lifesaving progress already funded by the PMC community would be threatened. NIH funding cuts of up to 50% would be a significant blow to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, to its ability to develop cancer breakthroughs, and to the patients we ride for every year.
As a community, the PMC continues to support best-in-class cancer research, supporting world-class doctors and nurses with a goal of developing cures and treatments for all cancers. With the potential to lose significant NIH funding, I need your help now more than ever. Please keep this in mind when you donate to my ride this year.
I am riding on a team that supports thoracic oncology but supports many cancer investigators. My team has many friends and family members who are fighting or have lost their battle and we are very motivated to help. I've made a personal commitment to ride the nearly 200 miles to raise $11,000.00. I hope you can help me achieve this significant goal as I continue to ride with the hope of a world without cancer.
100 percent of your donation goes to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. If you have sponsored me in the past, please consider increasing your contribution, if only by a small amount. If this is your first year contributing, please consider a minimum donation of $100. Thank you for participating in this journey with me.
