Happy to Report: My daughter Lily Sullivan has been cancer free now for 5 years! I will never forget her resillency, and my family's strength to help pull her through during this difficult time.
Fortunately today, Lily is a happy, healthy young lady. Unfortunately, over the past 5 years far too many family members, friends, and collegues have been diagnosed with this dreadful disease.
No child or person should have to endure what my daughter Lily Sullivan and my family painfully experienced for 2.5 years fighting Cancer. Please join me in the fight against cancer. The PMC is the premier fundraising bike-a-thon held annually in Massachusetts that raises more money for charity than any other event in the country. 100% of rider-raised revenue will go directly to cancer research and treatments via the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's in Boston, MA.
My 2012 Story:
"On May 18th 2011, my wife and I received devastating news: our youngest daughter, Lily May Sullivan, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Each and every day since, our 5 year old baby girl has courageously battled this dreadful disease. Lily is currently enrolled in a clinical trial with the Children's Oncology Group and is enduring multiple rounds of chemotherapy and procedures. The courage, strength and determination she possesses to fight her disease is simply inspiring. As a proud father, and in honor of my daughter Lily's battle against Cancer, I have registered for the 2012 Pan Mass Challenge. On August 4th and 5th 2012, I will ride 192 miles across the state of Massachusetts to join the fight against cancer. The PMC is the premier fundraising bike-a-thon held annually in Massachusetts that raises more money for charity than any other event in the country. 100% of rider-raised revenue will go directly to cancer research and treatments via the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's in Boston, MA.
