My WHY
I am so proud to ride the 2024 Pan-Mass Challenge as part of Team Professional Firefighters of Massachusetts! Another year of riding 186 miles in honor of my friends, brothers and sisters affected with cancer. My why is pretty simple; so many firefighters are affected by occupational cancer. Our goal as a team is to generate funds for cancer research and treatment specific to the why firefighters get cancer. From the chemicals in our protective gear, to the toxic gases we inhale on emergency scenes, every firefighter increases their risk of cancer by answering the call, by dedicating their lives to the service of others. Cancer in the Fire Service is at max bells. As a team, we all have the same goal, decrease and eventually eradicate cancer in the fire service!
I am grateful to be able to join this team to ride in honor of ALL those who have fought and are currently fighting Cancer. We love you, and we've got your back!
