I ride in memory of my dad, Ross R. Quincy, taken by pancreatic cancer in 1988, as well as for my mom, Barbara, who ALSO died of pancreatic cancer in 2016. I also ride in honor of my sister, who BEAT breast cancer.

This will be my 11th PMC, and there certainly have been bumps along the way. For example, about a month before my first event, I was diagnosed with Lyme Disease. Luckily, I had trained hard before I got sick, and had enough in my fitness bank to finish the ride. But I couldn't have done it without my riding buddies Carl Howerton and Dave Castle. They truly inspire me.

But I also ride for the physical and spiritual challenge. I put in long hours of training every week -- often riding to and from work (and I drive cars for a living!). I can't think of another type of exercise that is more fun and time-efficient for achieving my fitness goals. I'm blessed to have an excellent network of friends, family and coworkers who all chip in and help me achieve my fundraising goals. So, between the challenges of raising money, riding miles upon miles, and then actually DOING the PMC, well, it's a long but fulfilling process.

But I’m back for more and hope to do this for many years to come.
