Hi there!!
After a few years' hiatus, I am back to ride my fourth PMC on Team Havin' A Ball!! Team Havin' A Ball was created (and is captained) by my brother-in-law, Anthony! Years back, Anthony overcame his own battle with cancer with massive help from the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Thanks to their care and dedication, Anthony has been in remission for several years! His commitment to this cause and a cure acted as my original inspiration to ride the 192 miles, and I'll continue this year in hopes that more people will live to tell their story like he can.
Riding in the PMC is an extremely powerful experience. Whether on a bike pedaling, or on the road cheering, each person in this giant community amp eachother up with one common goal - to fight against a disease that affects millions of people. I am very excited to ride alongside my sister, father, cousin, and a whole bunch of close friends on Team Havin’ A Ball for the Pan-Mass Challenge, 2024!
I ride the PMC in memory of my grandfather, Harold Richard Pomroy, who passed when I was 12 years old, due to a cancerous brain tumor. I'll ride with his persistence and his belief that anyone can accomplish any challenge they put their mind to, no matter the obstacles at play.
Thank you for reading and supporting the fight against cancer!!
Best,
Molly
